Car Accident

The day my husband got into a car accident that was one of the most scariest days of my life. I was trying so hard to get to him. The lucky part of the accident was that he wasn't injured as badly as the car looks. Out of this accident that happened we ended up getting a 1996 Saturn that has needed a lot of work done on it and still paying off a loan. The lady that hit Emerson just decided to run a red light and didn't even care to me. The lady had no insurance which was just our luck. Emerson was on his way to work that day. I was so upset and crying because I was worried about my husband. I never knew that getting married came with the territory of having to worry about your spouse if he will be ok getting to work in the evenings.

Last Two Years

The last two years I have graduated from the LDS Business College with four degrees. I graduated with two associates which are Legal Administrative Assistant and Executive Administrative Assistant, two certificates which are Office Technology and Accounting. That was the best day of my life since I was able to have my parents be with me that day since my father got cancer. We even had a guest speaker which was Bishop Burton.

We even celebrated Christmas in our apartment and at his parents house. There has even been snow for Christmas Day Last Year.

We also ended up going different places around Utah like Bridal Vail Falls. This was one of the most beautiful places we had ever gone to next to Dount Falls.

We had even went to a family reunion for my mothers side of the family while I was going to school. The reunion was held up at my Aunt Cherie's Ranch here in Utah. This is just some of the things we have done while being here in Utah. I will have to do another post of some other pictures like the car accident my husband was in.

Four Years Ago

Two Days ago on May 28th, Emerson and I celebrated our four year anniversary of being married. We didn't do that much since I can't do much right now because of my foot. But we did go out and have lunch on our anniversary that was within our means. We ended up going to KFC. It was something both of us wanted to eat. Emerson did mention about taking me up to Donut Falls again and had mentioned that the rock is most likely still there. If some don't know what I mean about a rock well, here it goes. When Emerson first proposed to me it was at Dount Falls. There is this rock like stairs that you have to climb up and down to get to where you can some what see the falls. Well on our way back up to the trail to head back to the car which was right after, I had hurt the bottom of my foot really badly and had stone bruised and broke it. After going back to Macomb in 2003 that is when I found out what had happened which had put me into a splint like bandage. That was about one to three months after I returned because I didn't know what had happened. Even though Emerson will hold that to me every time because it is funny since it happened right after we were engaged, he had to make me laugh. We ended up not going just because of me being in an shoe and an ace wrap for the last eight months. One of these days we will return to Dount Falls again. It will just take its time.

Last Eight Months

Starting off with September 21, 2007 I had a foot operation which made it operation number four on the top right of the foot. With this operation, I had a bone spur removed that was about to come out of the foot. Mind you, Bone Spur operations should be one of the easiest of operations. Well for me it wasn't. October 23, 2007 just a month and two days later my incision decided to split open completely. That didn't stop seeping and finally started to close until around seven months later which was the week of March 21, 2008. On March 21, 2008, I had an MRI on my right foot again. This time it was because of major pain I was having and we needed to know why I had been taking so much pain killers. Low and behold nothing showed. As of March 24, 2008, Dr. Collins and I decided to sign me up for another foot operation which would make it number five on this foot. I was to have it for the following week on Friday April 4, 2008. After going back in with this most recent one they took a nerve out of my foot and dead scar tissue from the previous one. Since the operation, I still have been experiencing pain. A week ago yesterday I had an injection of steroid and cordizone put together. I talked to Dr. Collins last night and found out that for eight weeks he is wanting to try something that is called Alcohol Injections which will numb areas that I can feel still and cut feeling to those areas so I don't have pain anymore. Any ways that is what it should do. So lets see if this works. He did say that with the pain level I have been having I should be popping out a baby so he thinks that I should be able to handle the pain that is going to come with the injections. Dr. Collins has been the best Specialist I have ever known in my lifetime. So today I make my first appointment that will be for the next eight weeks. It will most likely be either be on Monday or the following week sometime.

Life in Salt Lake City

Having a life in Salt Lake City has been fun. It has had its challenges in life. One of the challenges is the freeways. Today there was a red car who was just going so slow and we couldn't go anywhere because, we were behind that car and there was a big semi next to us that wanted to get in our lane. So we almost got smashed between those two on the freeway.

I would have to say that life living here as an adult is very hard. Prices is so off the wall here. I never really thought that living by myself away from my parents would be difficult but it has. Emerson has been a great big help in keeping me sane being away from my parents. I have some friends that I hangout with and that has been a great help. It is hard to meet people here just because of it being such a big city. It is wonderful being around church places. I have been to almost all church sites. I still haven't had the chance to go snowboarding or skiing but in time I will. Being in the heart of almost downtown is wonderful. It is never a dull moment. Life is always hoping on the weekends. Emerson finally has some friends that he hangs out with. Before we got married he never did. Since then he now can say he has friends.

What Has Happened

Well, it has been over a month since the operation. Things are going good. Healing process is taking its sweet time. I ended up having a nerve removed from the top of my foot and I will no longer be able to feel anymore. That is something I will have to get use to. It hasn't been an easy road but, it has been worth it. Times goes on each day and everyday is the start of a new day to work on more things. I have been released from my calling since the end of March. It has been fun going to Relief Society and Sunday School. Some people have asked me if I have fallen off the face of the earth. Nope I have not fallen. I am still hanging in there as well as Emerson.

Emerson is still working for the church at the Printing Division. He does enjoy it for the most part but of course his legs and feet hurt from his shoes. It is about time to get him some new shoes for work. But, we have to wait till next month because that is when he gets his certificate to get new shoes. He is very tired because of having to keep up with me from two operations back to back within an eight month span frame. Other then that I will have to say, he is hanging in there. He is now Secretary for the Elders Quorum Presidency. He is enjoying every bit of it.

Mother's Day for me was very fun. Emerson took me to cities here in Utah that I have never been to. After we came home from church and ate, we took of in our car went to Deer Valley, Heber Valley, Provo Canyon, and Park City. I have never seen anything more beautiful in my life. After going to those places we came back home which wasn't till 8pm. One thing I would have to say is seeing Deer Valley, horses, and cows, I really missed Macomb's farming for some reason. At least I still have my farming out here.
